Researches on Ancient Structures:
 Ancient structures are rich in great intelligence of human being, and their methodology is able to inspire and enhance practical structural design with aesthetic originality. Over the years, we devoted to shedding light on the geometrical configuration and the structural principle of an ancient wooden bridge, Hongqiao, and trying to discover new structural system from its geometrical configuration and structural principle. The 1.5-Layer Space Frame, Lap-Beams etc. are inspired from the geometrical principle of the ancient wooden bridge Hongqiao.

Light Weight Concrete Mixed With Hollow Spheres (Bubble Concrete)
  Bubble Concrete, developed by Chen Pei-Shan Dr., is a composite material made from concrete mixed with high strength hollow bubbles, which leads to lightweight and remains its strength and stiffness higher enough for practical application. The density of the Bubble Concrete may be reduced to 1.9-2.2g/cm3.
